So full of energy, the game might have been scrapped but the soundtrack still feels like a whole game by itself. Definitely worth a listen especially if you like shmup soundtracks as this one deserves a place next to the legendary classics.

This radical 80s power metal keeps me awake and raring to go whether it's work or playtime. Incredible.

Heaven Variant is an unreleased indie shoot 'em up video game that had a wealth of music left behind. The album now functions as a tribute to the "shmup" scene of yesteryear, fully embracing the classic shoot 'em up sound popular from the 1990s. The music combines many genres including rock, metal, funk, orchestral, electronica, chiptune, and pop all of which blend into an unapologetic retro homage to the golden age of Japanese shoot 'em ups.
